Who we are
Privium is a members club that gives subscribers access to exclusive discounts, loyalty rewards, and offers from partner vendors in Bahrain. This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to the Privium mobile app and the vendor/admin portal.
Information we collect
- Account details — your name and email address when you sign up with email or with Google Sign-In.
- Subscription & usage — your membership plan, the offers and codes you reveal or redeem, and loyalty stamps.
- Location — if you use the “Near You” feature, your device location is used to show nearby vendors and distances. It is used on your device to rank results and is not stored to your profile.
- Device & technical data — basic information needed to run the app securely (e.g. an app integrity check via Firebase App Check) and to keep your account signed in on one active device.
- Payments — subscription payments are processed by our payment provider. We do not store your full card details; the provider handles card data and shares only the result of a transaction with us.
How we use your information
- To create and manage your membership account and subscription.
- To show you relevant offers, generate discount/loyalty codes, and record redemptions.
- To power features you request, such as “Near You”.
- To protect the platform from fraud and abuse.
- To contact you about your account (e.g. verification, password reset, subscription status).
How we share information
- Vendors — when you redeem an offer or loyalty reward at a vendor, that vendor sees the redemption record (e.g. the code and amount). Vendors do not receive your profile details.
- Service providers — we use Google Firebase (authentication, database, storage, app integrity) and a payment processor to operate the service. They process data on our behalf.
- We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for cross-app advertising tracking.
Data retention & deleting your account
You can permanently delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete Account in the app. This erases your profile, loyalty cards, and saved data, and removes your sign-in account. Completed transaction records may be retained where required for the vendor’s legitimate business and legal record-keeping; these reference only a customer identifier, not your profile.
Security
Data is transmitted over encrypted connections and protected with access rules and app-integrity checks. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information.
Children
Privium is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the new version here and update the “Last updated” date above.
